ATSA Conference 2016

FIRST CONFERENCE OF THE ASSOCIATION FOR TRANSLATION STUDIES IN AFRICA (ATSA)

3&4 SEPTEMBER 2016

NAIROBI, KENYA

THEME: Translating and interpreting in developing contexts

ATSA is proud to announce its first two-day conference and call on scholars to submit proposals for papers. In conjunction with the Fourth Summer School for Translation Studies in Africa (SSTSA), we invite abstracts with a focus on developing contexts. To start off, the scope is kept wide as we would not want to limit the nature of contributions. As we are celebrating the founding of ATSA and its first conference, we would however expect participants to focus their papers on the African context in particular or developing contexts in general.

Please send proposals of 300 words to Kobus Marais at jmarais@ufs.ac.za.

Deadline for proposals: 25 July 2016.
